Keryln Carville is the Professor of Primary Health Care and Community Nursing at Silver Chain Group and Curtin University. Keryln has extensive clinical experience in wound and ostomy care and is committed to research and education within the domains.
Kerlyn co-ordinates the Curtin University Postgraduate Program of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Practice. in Perth and Singapore. Keryln Chaired the Pan Pacific Pressure Injury Alliance, in the development of the International Guideline 2014 and 2019.
Keryln was appointed a Life Membership of the Australian Wound Management Association (now Wounds Australia) in 2006 and the Australian Association of Stomal Therapy Nurses in 2015. She was awarded the WA Health Life-Time Achievement in Nursing Award in WA in 2010. Keryln has over 100 peer reviewed journal publications and texts and has delivered many national and international keynote presentations. Sh sits on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Wound Practice and Research.
Ms Priscilla Tan Fang Yin, is a Continence Specialty Nurse with Khoo Teck Puat Hospital Geriatric Outpatient Clinic since 2018.
Her extensive training and experiences in urinary and bowel care has allowed her to work with both Urology and Geriatric Department both inpatient and outpatient setting to provide quality continence care services
Ms Fadlon is an Assistant Nurse Clinician at Yishun Community Hospital under Yishun Health. She assumes both roles of Continence and Wound nurse. Fadlon obtained Diploma in Nursing in 1998, and Advanced Diploma in Medical Surgical Nursing in 2003. A life long learner, this year, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with University of Dundee. She was also awarded for a study sponsorship this year by CCMDA to undertake Graduate Certificate in Wound, Ostomy and Continence with University of Curtin. Fadlon is an active member of Continence Nurses Chapter and Wound, Ostomy Continence Nurses Chapter (Singapore).
Ms Paulin Koh is the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore. As CNO, she provides leadership and strategic direction for the development of Nursing and its services at national level and works with various agencies and healthcare clusters on the development of nursing roles and services, policies, workforce development, training, and education matters. Concurrently, she is also the Registrar of the Singapore Nursing Board, which licences and regulates nursing/ midwifery practice and education.
Prior to assuming the CNO’s role in July 2020, Ms Koh was holding concurrent appointments as the Chief Nurse of Changi General Hospital (CGH) and Deputy Group Chief Nurse, SingHealth. She had been instrumental in starting Community Nursing service at CGH, which is supported by the MOH Regional Health System (RHS)-led Community Nursing pilot program. She chaired the MOH National Nursing Taskforce (NNT) Community Nursing Subgroup and Workgroup on Development of Competency Framework where she played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and recommendations on the practice settings, roles and competencies of Community Nurses in Singapore.
Ms. Koh has an interest in the development of Advanced Practice Nurses in Singapore – starting with the amendment of the Nurses & Midwives Act in 2003-5 to make provision for the certification of APN practice, the implementation of a new track for Paediatric APNs in 2012 and the progressive review of the training of APNs and its internship program till now. Related to advancing nurses’ roles, she had also advocated for collaborative practice role of the nurse midwife at her previous organization, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH), where her nursing career had spanned almost 20 years. At KKH, she had served as nursing champion and lead internal auditor for JCI/ ISO/ BCP certifications and contributed to the growth of nursing where she was responsible for the set-up of the Magnet Nursing Excellence framework and National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) Data Benchmarking for the hospital in 2012.
At national level, Ms. Koh had advocated for several key policies and initiatives to elevate the nursing profession in Singapore. Some of her involvement includes being member of MOH National Nursing Taskforce (NNT), Future Nursing Career Review Committee (FNCRC), MOH APN Development Committee, Board Member of SNB and Chairperson of SNB Audit Committee.
Shu Yin has enjoyed gaining experiential knowledge in the healthcare quality and patient safety domain and implemented several quality improvement initiatives to improve care and quality outcomes. She believes in designing the work environment to empower and enable every staff to improve and innovate and is a strong advocate for nurturing and proliferating point-of-care innovations. Shu Yin continues to seek to introduce system-level initiatives to connect and grow people, and strengthening relationships to deliver care that goes beyond quality to adding value.
Ms Tina is a nurse clinician with Tan Tock Seng Hospital where she looks after the elderly patients in their own homes. She is gerontology trained and has vast experience working with the elderly patients in the acute hospital as well as in the community. Tina is also a Basic cardiac life Support instructor. She is also a certified ICW wound expert and helps with complex wound cases in the department. Tina has more than a decade of clinical work experience with the elderly in the acute wards and is currently attached to the TTSH Department of Continuing and Community Care. She works closely with community partners to render continuing care for patients.
In the span of 26 years, Associate Professor Edward Poon has taken on many different roles and responsibilities in both acute and Community Care settings. His journey in acute care began in 1988 when he joined the Singapore General Hospital as a Staff Nurse. Six years later, he ventured into the Community Care sector when he assumed the role of an Infection Control Nurse at St. Andrew’s Community Hospital, where his leadership journey started to take shape.
Assoc. Prof. Poon was later promoted to leadership roles such as Director of Nursing at Dover Park Hospice and Chief Nurse at Ang Mo Kio–Thye Hua Kwan Hospital. He then took on the role of Director of Nursing at St Luke’s ElderCare (SLEC) in October 2017. He was holding position as a Adjunct Associate Professor at NUS , ALCNS from 2007 – 2017 and later to Singapore Institute Technology as a Associate Professor from 2017 and subsequently, became the Academic Director at St Luke’s Eldercare Learning Hub and Learning Institute as well in May 2019.

Dr Edward Chong is a Consultant for the Department of Geriatric Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, in 2008. He has also successfully obtained certification in MRCP (UK) in 2012 and the Geriatric Medicine Specialty Certificate Examination in 2015. His clinical and research interests include continence care and frailty in older persons. He is currently the program lead of a front-door geriatric service in TTSH, also known as the Emergency Department Interventions for Frailty (EDIFY) and a ex-board member of the Society for Continence (Singapore).
Dr Arthur Tseng is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, who sub-specialises in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Gleneagles Hospital.
He completed his basic medical and professional degrees in the United Kingdom, and underwent further training in his subspecialty interest with world renown Urogynaecologist, Professor Linda Cardozo, at King’s College Hospital, London. Apart from urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, his pet interest is in the holistic management of Overactive Bladder Syndrome, and other functional bladder conditions.
Prior to joining Gleneagles Hospital, Dr Tseng was based at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital; working as part of a dedicated team, to generate greater public consciousness of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, offering treatment and cure for such conditions that adversely affect the quality of life of many women.
Joy Sears is a Unit Coordinator at Curtin University School of Nursing, in the postgraduate Wounds, Ostomy and Continence program that runs in Australia and Singapore. She is also the Unit Coordinator for the first-year, first semester Clinical Practice Unit for undergraduate nurses in Perth and Mauritius.
Joy has a broad base of experience within the acute and chronic nursing care domains across the lifespan, in primary to tertiary healthcare. Clinical nursing remains her primary passion in nursing, but she feels strongly that best practice can only be achieved through quality education processes.
Prof Karel Everaert is currently the Head of Clinics Functional Urology, Professor in Neurourology at the
Ghent University in Belgium. He did his residency in Urology from 1991 to 1993 under the tutelage of
the illustrious Prof Dr. Oosterlinck.
Prof Everaert’s extensive clinical and scienti¬c experience includes:
• European Board of Urology since 1994
• Head of clinics since 1999
• Professor Neurourology since 2001
• More than 50 clinicals trials in neurourology and incontinence
• More than 160 peer reviewed publications in Functional Urology
• Co-authored in 13 books
He is currently active in clinical research on nocturia, nocturnal polyuria, incontinence/LUTS in elderly,
urinary catheters and bladder management.
Adj Asst Prof Sharon Yeo is the Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Urology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and Clinical Lecturer with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is a certified specialist in Urology and a Fellow of Academy of Medicine Singapore. She is a recipient of Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship and completed a Fellowship in Female Urology, Neuro-urology, Urodynamics and Reconstructive Surgery at the Bristol Urological Institute, United Kingdom. Adj Asst Prof Yeo is the Past President of Society for Continence Singapore and current Board member. She is the Honorary Secretary of the Chapter of Urologists (College of Surgeons), Academy of Medicine, Singapore and member of Singapore Urology Association.
Dr. Tricia Kuo is a UK fellowship trained Senior Urologist. She is a member of a few societies and professional organizations where she was previously an executive committee member of the Singapore Urology Association (SUA) and the Society of Continence Singapore (SFCS). Dr. Tricia Kuo is an accredited surgeon in minimally invasive stone and laparoscopic procedures on major hospitals; Mount Alvernia Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital (Novena and Orchard), Gleneagles Hospital and Farrer Park Hospital. She is also currently a Visiting Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and Thomson Medical. She provides specialized care in Functional Disorders and Female Urology such as urinary incontinence and overactive bladder, Reconstructive and Adolescent Urology.

Dr Fiona Wu is a Consultant in the Department of Urology at National University Hospital. She obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and gained fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2008. After completing her Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2010, she joined NUH in 2009 and started her training in the field of Urology. She received her Specialist accreditation in Urology in 2015. She has completed her fellowship in Neuro-urology and Reconstructive Urology in University of Bern in 2016.
She is the Program Director of Surgery-In-General in NUH and core faculty member of Urology Residency Program, providing educational support to the NUH residency program.
Dr Wu has special interests in the field of Female Urology, Neurourology And Reconstructive Urology. She is an exco member of the Singapore Urological Association and Incontinence Society (SFCS) in Singapore and international member of European Urological Association, International Continence Society (ICS) and International Urogynecology Association (IUGA). She is active in organizing annual meetings and courses for the various organizations.

Elmira Solis Franco
Senior Staff Nurse, NUH
Elmira is a Senior Staff Nurse in Urology Centre at National University Hospital, she joined the centre since 2007. She obtained her Degree in Nursing from Philippines in 1993, and had served different specialty for more than 26 years. She completed her Advance Nursing Course in Medical/Surgical at National University Hospital (NUH) in 2018, and appointed as representative of Specialist Outpatient Clinic in Nursing Quality Council (NUH) in the same year. She is a current instructor of BCLS with AED, and Trigger Code Blue in Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) and one of the Preceptor and Charge Nurse in Urology Centre. She is a member of Nursing Standard Team Leaders (SOC).
Her professional interest includes management of Urinary Incontinence to promote patient’s well-being and quality of life by providing education and improving support services in Urology Centre, National University Hospital.
Dr Harvard Lin is an accredited Obstetric and Gynaecology specialist. He completed his basic medical training in NUS and specialist training in O&G in Singapore. He obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gnaecologists (MRCOG) from UK and the Masters of Medicine (O&G) from NUS in 2015.
Dr Lin provides an extensive range of obstetric and gynaecological services. His main interests are female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery which includes managing urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and prolapse as well as minimally invasive surgery and endometriosis.
Dr Lin is also a clinical tutor at NUS and a faculty in various laparoscopic and pelvic floor reconstruction workshops. He enjoys mentoring medical students and residents. His research includes stem cell therapy, synthetic meshes and translational medicine. He has published in various international peer-reviewed journals and also contributed to a popular O&G textbook. He actively presents at medical conferences and public talks.
Dr Juriyah Yatim is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and also an Assistant Director of Nursing in Singapore General Hospital (SGH). As an APN, she does her practice in SGH Pelvic Floor Disorder Service, which is a unique, multi-disciplinary service that provides clinical management for patients who have functional problems of the pelvic floor of urologic, gynaecologic or colorectal pathology. She also runs video consultation clinics for polyp surveillance, under Colorectal Surgery service.
Juriyah has attained her Doctor of Nursing Practice, a practice doctorate, from Duke University School of Nursing, North Carolina, USA in 2015. She is an Associate Faculty with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) for the SIT-University of Glasgow Bachelor of Science with Honours in Nursing and Clinical Preceptor for Continence for Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nursing for Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing (collaborated with Curtin University).
Juriyah is very passionate and active in research and evidence-based practices. She has launched a hospital-wide implementation of nurse-led removal of timely urinary catheter protocol known as HOUDINI in her institution which becomes a landmark as being innovative. She has produced and presented many nursing papers, in several platforms, locally and overseas. Some were award-winning papers. She also has several publications in journals and book chapters. She has delivered many talks in local and overseas, namely in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia and also in Miami, USA.
Jenna Kee is a senior physiotherapist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2011 followed by Master of Clinical Physiotherapy (Continence and Women’s Health Major) from Curtin University in 2017. She is a specialist in the treatment of obstetrics and gynaecology, breast and gynaeoncology and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Wan Hui has a special interest in continence management in both men and women. She obtained a graduate certificate in pelvic health physiotherapy from University of Melbourne in 2015 and a Master’s in continence and pelvic health physiotherapy from Curtin University in 2019.
She hopes to improve awareness for continence management in Singapore and is currently developing a continence management course for health care professionals with the postgraduate allied health institute at SGH.
Adj. Assistant Professor Surendra Kumar Mantoo graduated from N.S.C.B., Medical College and obtained his Masters in General Surgery from India. He completed his MRCS and FRCS with Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK. He was awarded M.Med in surgery by National University, Singapore. He received HMDP award in 2011 and completed fellowship in Ano-rectal and Pelvic Floor Surgery, at University of Nantes, France.
With an experience spanning more than 20years, he is currently lead and senior consultant in the colorectal service, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore. He is also the chairman of endo-centre. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and member of multiple committee’s at Ministry of Health, Singapore.
He is well versed in laparoscopic and robotic surgery for both cancers and benign disorders of colon & rectum, proctology, advanced therapeutic endoscopy and functional bowel disorders such as constipation and incontinence. He is passionate about teaching and is active in several professional organizations. He is involved in research, having held grants and authored and co-authored numerous papers and book chapters. He is a reviewer and member of Editorial Board for numerous journals. He has been invited as a plenary speaker and faculty at multiple national and international meetings. He has been awarded honorary fellowship by the International College of Laparoscopic Surgeons (FCLS) and the exhibit of exceptional merit by American College of Surgeons.
Cammy is the team leader in the Women’s health and lymphedema management team in physiotherapy, National University Hospital. She has a strong interest in the management of the bladder and bowel dysfunctions, as well as women’s related health issues.
In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her 11 year old daughter.
Tamara has over 20 years of physiotherapy experience, with 15 of those as a specialised women’s health physiotherapist.
Tamara is a registered physiotherapist with the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore, The Singapore Physiotherapy Association as well as the Physiotherapy councils in Australia, United Kingdom and South Africa.
After graduating with a BSc (Physiotherapy) from the University of Cape Town in 1999, Tamara moved to the UK to work as a physiotherapist for the NHS in London. After 3 successful years in London, she moved to Sydney, Australia in 2004. Here she began her specialisation in women’s health physiotherapy at the Royal Hospital for Women (RHW). With more than 4000 births per year, the RHW was the foundation for Tamara’s extensive experience in Women’s Health Physiotherapy.
At the end of 2011, Tamara moved to Singapore with her husband and two young children.
Whilst practicing as a women’s health physiotherapist in Singapore, Tamara furthered her studies by completing her Graduate Certificate in Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapy through Curtin University in Perth, Australia. She continues to frequently participate in overseas advanced women’s health physiotherapy courses.
Tamara is passionate about all aspects of women’s health physiotherapy. She recently completed her Professional Certificate in Conservative Management of Pelvic Organ Prolapse through the University of South Australia in Adelaide, allowing her to fit support pessaries for prolapse.
Tamara has also now completed her Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy (Continence & Women’s Health) through Curtin University in Perth.
Tamara is a firm believer in educating women about their own bodies, so they are empowered to achieve their goals.

Mr. Hoi-chu TO is a Urology Nurse Consultant in Hong Kong. He is dedicated to urology nursing more than 30 years. He developed, together with Institute of Advanced Nursing Studies of Hong Kong Hospital Authority, the first and the only qualified Urology Nursing specialty training in Hong Kong in 1999. He is the ex-Chairperson of the Urology Nursing chapter of the Hong Kong Urological Association. And he is the Founding President of the Hong Kong College of the Urological Nursing currently. He is leading a urology nursing team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Hong Kong to provide comprehensive urology nursing service since 1999. He is competent in manage different kinds of urological patients, such as neurogenic bladder, neurogenic bowel, care of prostate cancer, care of substitution cystoplasty for muscle invasive bladder cancer, urinary retention with intermittent catheterization, urodynamics and video urodynamics, continence care, erectile dysfunction, BPH, and paediatric urology.
