In conjunction with the World Continence Week 2010, a Public Education Display was held at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital for two days from 24-25 June 2010. An installation from the Society for Continence (Singapore) [SFCS] showed posters on incontinence and some guidelines on how to help with the problem. There were also booths from the Continence/Urology department which were manned by Ms Lim Lay Hoon and Ms Sarah Chen who were present during the two-day exhibition to answer queries regarding incontinence. SCA Hygiene Singapore Pte. Ltd., gave out free samples of their products. The Physiotherapy department represented by Ms Vernetta Wong, Mr Justin Wee and Ms Lindsey Weller, were also present to answer queries on pelvic floor exercises.
Response to the activity was good as the various booths got numerous enquiries about incontinence and how to help deal with it. The Society also gave out reading materials to help create better awareness.
